Susan loves music and loves to play the piano. It brings her, her husband and her four daughters such joy every day! She has played the piano for over 20 years and has taught privately for more than two years now. She enjoys teaching piano lessons because she enjoys watching a child improve on a piece and seeing that child's confidence grow through the process. She firmly believes that learning music is a tremendous benefit to children - improving self-discipline, intelligence, memory, attention, confidence and increasing overall happiness in life. |

| What I Teach | |
| Susan encourages her students to take ownership of their music, encouraging them beyond the basics of music theory, sight-reading, scales, terminology and technique. Her approach helps students develop a keen sense of musicality and ear training as well. While Susan acknowledges that learning a musical instrument is challenging, she believes everyone can benefit from actively participating in music lessons. |
