January 1, 2013 Nate Craddock Joins Lexington

Nate Craddock joined the Gist Piano Family in December 2012, and he is assisting Heather McGriff with the daily operations of the Lexington store. Nate is a native of the Washington DC metro area who has been in Kentucky since 2006. He holds a BA in music composition from Asbury University, and has recently completed the coursework for the MA in historical musicology at the University of Kentucky. He's writing his thesis on the sacred music of Francis Poulenc. While at UK he worked as a graduate teaching assistant for MUS 100 (Music Appreciation), and one of his great loves is introducing new music to whomever will listen.

In his spare time, Nate enjoys hiking, drinking coffee, baking artisanal bread, and singing along to Wagner operas in the car.

Pianos at Gist

Gist Piano Center is currently accepting resumes for a part-time position at our Lexington location. The successful candidate will participate in off-site clinics, in-store workshops and special events. (S)he will also participate in providing press releases to local media, assist in maintaining print music inventories and coordinating with piano teachers in the Gist Piano Academy. The ideal candidate will have an interest in pianos and/or the music industry.
