effort. "Like" us on Facebook. Follow us on Twitter. Subscribe to our

Technology Program for JCPS
Gist Piano Center is teaming up with legendary music technology icon, Roland Corporation, to present a very special Personal Development Day - just for you!
Join
us on Tuesday, September 13 (from 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Male High School
on Preston) for an exciting, "hands-on" music technology workshop.
Roland's
Educational Director, Ellen Gonzales, will be on-hand to demonstrate a
variety of new technologies, including: BATTERY-operated P.A.
equipment, remote-controlled CD recorders, personal recording devices,
MIDI play-a-long equipment, piano lab software, digital pianos, digital
rhythm pads and more! James will also demonstrate our very own
"Gist Piano Companion" - giving you digital piano features on your
acoustic piano! We'll also discuss the role of MIDI and audio
files in music study, tips for making your class time much more
effective and stress-free... and we'll let you play with all the gear
after the program!
Join us and see how technology really can make your life easier. Contact James Harding for details.
Roland Piano Festival Begins
We are happy to announce that Gist Piano Centerhas
once again been selected to participate in the Roland Piano Festival
program. We will join 11 other Roland dealers in the US for
this National event.
Students from seven of our Partners In Education
teachers will perform in an "American Idol" style program. One
student from each division will be selected for Regional Consideration
and FIVE students from the Regional Group will be selected to fly to
L.A. (all expenses paid!) for the National Festival performance in
November.
Our Local Festival will be held on Tuesday, September 27 (in Lexington) and Wednesday, September 28 (in Louisville).
Youth Division One will begin at 5:30pm, Youth Divison Two will begin
at 6:30pm and Youth Division Three will begin at 6:30pm.
Participants and their families should arrive 15 minutes before their
scheduled start time.
Good luck, students!
