| | The Remodel Begins |
If you've visited Gist Piano
Center Louisville lately, you've probably heard the sounds of
construction as we complete Phase 1 of our 2010-2011 remodel.
Over the next month, we'll
be adding video screens to four rooms (including the lobby and recital
hall) and completely rennovating our digital piano room to make way for
the new Roland Foresta concept.
By the end of February,
Roland will install a $25,000 state-of-the-art digital piano room at
Gist. It'll be one of only 35 in the United States.

| James Tours Roland's American Factory |
| | The Roland Factory Tour | When
the term "digital piano factory" comes up, most people conjur images of
robotic welding machines and automated assembly
lines. Honestly, it's the image James had when he went to
visit Roland's American Factory in Portland, Oregon.
What he found was quite a shock. Who knew Roland Digital Pianos were built almost entirely by hand?
Click the above image
join James on a quick tour through the Roland Digital Piano Piano
Factory. You'll see clips from their American Assembly Plant
(where Rodgers organs, the HP-300 series and the RM-700 are built)
and from Japan - where the action parts and Roland's
legendary sound chips and circuit boards are made.
It's a short video, but
you'll be amazed at what goes into building a Roland. ...and
you'll see why Roland outlasts all the other digital piano
brands. |
